35th Anniversary
18th & 19th June 2005

Mungo Jerry Is After 35 years Still Alive !!

That's what we have seen during the 35th Anniversary weekend that took place in Newcastle Under Lyme and Stoke On Trent. The first set on saturday evening was in the full packed gym of the Coppice School , what a great atmosphere !! On stage Ray Dorset - James Davis and special guest Mike Cole. A lot of old favorite Mungo tunes we didn't hear on stage for a long time past by. Maggie / Peace In The Country / Midnight Special / O 'Reilly and a lot more.

The second and third set was organised in The Forum Theatre (part of the Potteries Museum & Galery) This time a PA was available with Jarvis on the mixing-table (great job Jarvis) First on stage Ray Dorset & Mike Cole whith again a brilliant skiffle set with (on request from the fans) "Have A Whiff On Me" not only sung by Ray but by all the fans too. After a break the full British band on stage: Ray Dorset - Tim Green - James Davis - Toby Hounsham - and temporary Bassman Rex. All favorites past by including some Mungo Jerry Bluesband songs and ofcourse the smash-hit "In The Summertime" and summertime it was, as you can see on the photos: the whole weekend red hot. The Mungo Jerry shop was present, represented by Derek Wadeson, with a lot of new Cd's and more memorabilia as t-shirts / Limited Edition Memorabilia Box Set / DVD's and a lot more. In between er was a very nice time with the fans, a chat, a drink and a lot of fun. Thanks to all who made this weekend possible, It would be in our memory for a long long time.
